Păstrarea calităţii este un factor imperativ în perioadă de criză economică.

Produsele sau serviciile trebuie să respecte un anumit standard de calitate pentru toti consumatorii (fie ei din vestul sau estul europei). Fără asigurarea calitatii unui produs sau serviciu, consumatorii vor evita cumpărarea respectivului produs sau serviciu, acest lucru ducând la scăderea profiturilor şi diminuarea valorii adăugate. Pe termen lung va reprezenta eşecul afacerii.
Acesta este motivul, de a menţine standardele stricte de calitate şi de satisfacere continuuă a consumatorilor, producatorii, furnizorii sau prestatorii ar trebui să folosească un proces care este cunoscut sub numele de control al calităţii.

În termeni mai simpli, controlul calităţii este procesul de a asigura că toate produsele şi serviciile sunt în conformitate cu un set standard de calitate agreate. Η διατήρηση της ποιότητας αποτελεί επιτακτική παράγοντα σε περιόδους οικονομικής κρίσης.

Τα προϊόντα ή οι υπηρεσίες πρέπει να πληρούν ένα ορισμένο επίπεδο ποιότητας για όλους τους καταναλωτές (είτε Δυτική ή Ανατολική Ευρώπη).
